shopping day

Okay, I hate Tuesday's I'm just putting it out there. I don't have a break from my students on Tuesday's (art, music, gym, or computers) so I have them all day. Than every Tuesday I have a meeting either before school at 7 or after school at 3:30 till usually 5o'clock. So it's a very long day. The only thing that makes it tolerable is at my local scrapbook store it's tecnique Tuesday and we make a card or item and I get to visit with my scrap friends. Well tonight I hit pay dirt. They had 60% off of there stamps I got 7 stamps for $22.00 3 are Whipper Snapper, 2 are A Muse, 1 Alma de la Rosa and 1 Cornish Heritage Farms. I'm ready now to start on Christmas for next year and the gift idea I have for my mom. She loves to send cards for all reasons so I want to make her some cards she can use every month to send out. Wish me luck on that project.

Well back to Valentine Day gifts I have 23 more to make.

valentine's gifts for students

Have been a busy crafter today. Started working on gifts for my students for Valentine's day. They are little sour cream containers that stamped using Hero Arts stamps on velum.

Than I used my Martha Stewart heart punch (which is hard to punch)to make the heart that is hanging from the container. I filled them with M&M's.
I really hope the students like their treats. I have 6 done and 22 students. I'll keep at. Have to think of something for the staff I work with now too.

Busy Weekend

This has been a busy weekend. First Saturday I tutored at school. I pictured my check going straigt to my Local Scrapbook Store. Than worked on my husband's project for school. He designed it I just cute it because there was no way he was touching my cricut. I think it turned out well. He's in Grad school taking a class on Childrens literature. He had to read the book "The House on Mango Street" than had to write 3 short stories about himself. The book cover has a picture to show from each of the story. He wrote about his Little Brother, working at an Ice Cream store and a time with his Uncle. I think we matched pretty good. I even got to use my bind it all for the first time.

Than the teacher that teachs next to me has her 40th birthday on Monday and I wanted to make her a card. I had bought some stamps from Inky Antics this week and scrap lifted a card they had on display at my Local Scrapbooking store. I changed the colors but it's pretty much the same card. It was so much fun getting creative this weekend and I really hope I can contine to making cards. Actually I know I will have v-day gifts I need to make for my students and of course my husband's card.

Bad Day!!!

Oh, my I just need somewhere to vent. The class I have this year is as we say off the chain. They don't want to listen, everytime you try to punish them they say" I don't care" and they really dont care. I'm at my wits end. I get no support from the principal, no support at home, and no support from fellow teachers. It's enough to make me curl up in a little ball and sleep forever. I'm so tired of trying to do fun things/plan fun things and then they ruinining it. I was sick today and didn't feel good but had to go to school. Planned a movie this afternoon and we couldn't even do that because we couldn't get quiet to even start. My chest hurts so bad it's not even funny my inhailer isn't doing it's job. Thanks for listening to my vent. Now I get to go to a staff meeting and listen to the group of teachers I work with get chewed out.

new year begins

Okay, it's january 2nd and i'm still in bed. I've been sick and not feeling well at least it gives me a chance to catch up on my dvr viewing and make plans for new cards and scrapbooking pages. My resolution for this year is to make more cards. It's a stress reliever for me and lets me unwind after a busy day at school. So hopefully there will be more cards to view this year on my blog. I'm going to get back to basics and do what I love to make what i do easier.
