Day 60 Say What?

Today we had to make a card that said What somewhere in the card. Okay, this card was a little harder for me but than I thought about graduation coming up. Some of the students I had in the first grade will be celebrating their 8th grade graduation from the school I am now teaching at and so I made this card for one of them. I'll have to come up with someothers for the others but one young man now has the same dement sense of humor as me so I know he will love this card. I can't wait to see him walk down and graduate. It's fun to see how far he's come since first grade.

Day 59 A Certain Sentiment

For todays challenge we had to use a certain sentiment like miss you. I used Thinking of You and add in In Ohio since that's where I live. I added the Ohio flowers to the card. I'll be saving this card for when my husband goes out of town. I always stick cards in his luggage for each day he's gone with little notes of what I think I have done on that day. He always looks forward to his special notes. Now they will be even more special since I made the card.

Day 58 Something Fishy

This card was a lot of fun. I had never thought of putting fish on a card before today. I used an acitate card from the other week to make my fish bowl than added my fish swimming around in it. I think I'll probably use this card as a pick me up for a friend when they are feeling down.

Day 57 Super Sketchy Sunday

Today's challenge was to follow a sketch. I really enjoyed today's challenge. I used paper from my stash, Hero Arts cupcake and word stamp. The brads and hearts I had in my stash for quite awhile. I also used Star Dust stickles to make the sparkle on the cupcake.

Have a great day.

Day 56 See Through Saturday

Yeah, I have completed my first full week of challenges. I'm so proud of myself. Today's card was to acrylic (clear) card. Use it as the card base - front, back, or all - otherwise anything goes. I used it as the card base. This had to be a quick card for me today as my husband and I are going out on the town to see the play The Color Purple. So in it's honor I used purple card stock for the inside to hide my glue. The front is a stamp from Stampendous (Fluffles the Cat) that I had been looking at for awhile and decided to buy today along with the clear cards. The inside is a stamp fromA Muse Artstamps. I haven't decide who to give this to yet but it "tickled my fancy"

Have a great day

This card was so much fun. After today's OAT Rally at school I knew I had to make a card for my lead teacher to say thanks for all she did to get the kids ready. I wanted her to know she's a star in my book. They were awesome and so was she.

We're off to the local baseball teams game. I hope they win tonight.

See you later.

Day 54 Recycled Elements

This challenge was fun but also challenging for me. I couldn't not wrap my mind around anything creative today. It's two school days before my students take the state testing for Ohio and my school is having a big rally tomorrow to show our support for each grade and we've been working on our rally routine and that's whats been going on in my mind. I'll post pictures tomorrow of their routine its so cute. So as a teacher I have lots of stuff around my room to use I couldn't decide on these large clear circle or the large amount of cardboard I have around my room. But, than I remembered these small rubber circles I have a ton of we use a bingo chips and the card someone made yesterday using buttons as grapes. So I made a bunch of grapes out of these rubber circles. The grapes can than be used for lots of things. I'm thinking of having my students make some for mother's day as a gift for their mom's with a cute phrase ( I just need to think of one.) I'm still feeling sick so I'm headed off to bed early to get some rest. See you all tomorrow.

Day 53 Fun with Fruit

C

This will be a short post tonight as I am not feeling well. After working with third graders all day I've picked up a spring cold. Today's challenge was to use fruit and being a school teacher I immediately thought of apples. I will be giving this to a fellow teacher who has been feeling down. I used my Cricut again to make the cuts. Have a good night I'm off to bed.

365 cards Day 52 Tuesday's Trio

Okay, today's challenge was to use a blossom, brad, and circle. This challenge was difficult for me. I had an idea and tried my best to put it into reality. This was a long day for me and by 10 o'clock my perspective was off as you see. I still like me card and it was well worth the throbing hand I have now. (I banged it pretty hard at work Monday and it's bruised and swollen.) I used my cricut machine to cut out the different items. I used 50 states for the flowers, Paper Dolls for the wagon, Doodlecharms for the sun, and basket, Winnie the Pooh and friends for the tree, and grass. I can't wait to see what comes up for tomorrow's challenge.

Today's Challenge on 365 was Picture this we had to use the picture above for inspiration. As soon as I say this picture this morning I knew what I wanted to do. With some help from the art teacher at the school where I teach I came up with the following card. I had a great time making this flower and it didn't take as long as I thought it would, even with a brused hand.

My first challenge

Okay, This was my first Challenge. I have been watching the 365 card blog for awhile and decide this would be the week I would attempt to make my first own designed card. I've made cards from kits before and they usually turn out pretty good. But this is the first time I've made a card with my own ideas. For the first time it seems to have turned out okay. I used stuff from my stash and really enjoyed this challenge. I can't wait to try more.

Thanks for looking and any comments are more than welcomed

We even had fireworks after the game. I have a few pictures to post from the game. I can't wait till our next game. See you all soon.

First Day

Okay, I'm trying this blogging thing for the first time. I'm hoping I'll be able to post some cards and scrapbooking pages I've done and will be doing.
