busy week.

It'a only Thursday and this has been a busy week. Where to start, well my friend who is sick is starting to feel better. Thank God. I made her 2 more get well cards. She's loving the ones she's gotten so far. The card with the turtle is my fav. so far because it's a spinner card and those are my favorite cards to make.

Then yesterday I got my test results back from the doctor. Everything was fine. I'm not diabetic which was the best news. Still need to work on my weight but than who doesnt'. After that we went to a dragon's game. A friend gave us her awesome seats behind home play. We lost bad last night but still had a good time.

Finally, on Wednesday my local scrapbook store had a clas called cardology. I so look forward to my Wednesdays during the summer and breaks. Well yesterday we had a celebration for the two great women how put this on every week. Val designs the cards and teaches the class and Kathy is a jackie of all trades, she passes out things and helps whenever you need help. So we all made cards to say thank you for their hard work and here is the card I made.

Well off to have lunch with my mother today and than just hanging around the house making more get well cards and start on things for my classroom. Can't believe training is starting in a little over a week. Will have to find a way to make time to create because I'm enjoying it so much.

Have a good rest of your week.

Birthday card

Made a cute card for my neighbor's birthday. We share dogs in common. Her Brandi and our Teddy love to play together when Teddy gets out of our yard. We haven't figured out how he gets in Brandi's fenced in yard but he does it. Thus the dog card. I used stamps from Inky Antics.

Enjoy

get well card

I made a get well card for my friend I teach with. She's had surgery at the end of June and is not doing well. I'm trying to send her a few cards every week to keep her spirits up. I just wish I could get her to eat. Take a peek I hope she gets a good laugh.

Mother-in law's birthday

Just finished a card for my mother-in-laws birthday. I used jenna Barber's idea off of splitcoast stampers. I used my stampin'up stamps just buzzing by. I embosed the honey pots on the back layer of white and used my copic markers to color the hive and bee's. I'm going to add some stickles to the bee's wings to give it even more bling. I hope she likes it.

4th of July cards

This weekend is the 4th of July and we have 3 cook-outs to go to so I'm making cards for the hostess of each. The first one is my mother in law the whole family is getting together at a park in Trotwood. The second one is at a friend from church. Both of them are tommorrow so their cards are done. The firecracker card I got the inspiration from splitcoast stampers. The poster was Zizzie78 and I wanted to give her credit since I pretty much scraplifted her card. Thanks Zizzie78. The other card was was soemthing I just came up with. I used stamps from our craft lounge called patriotic parade. I hope you enjoy.

Tim's birthday

Tuesday was Tim's birthday and we spent it having dinner out than went to see Eclipse at Midnight. Go Team Jacob. Monday we went to see the Dragons play and I had his Birthday posted on the big screen. I'm attaching picture of the big screen and the card I made for his birthday.

Here is Tim's birthday cake. We discovered his favorite cake place ele' now makes sugar free cake so he can now have cake on his birthday without worry of spiking his sugar.

Mother's Day Card

Okay, I've not been very inspired lately I have a very rough class this year that takes all my energy so I went on Splitcoast stamper and found this wonderful card by card crazy. I loved it so much I had to scraplift it. I think her's is much better as I'm new to embossing. I used Stampin' up stamps Garden from my heart. Use a brick look that also came from Splitcoast Stamper. I hope everyone enjoys and I hope my mother-in-law enjoys the card.

busy weekend

Well it's been a busy weekend around the house. I've been down a bit with a migrane but by Sunday was able to do some crafting. Tim had another project to do with a poem he wrote. He had to make a card out of one of the poems we picked his The Story of Ology. I think it turned out cute. The cards suppose to be talking to you.

Than during working on that he decided to have a super bowl party. We had been tossing the idea around but than said no it would cost to much but than he went ahead and decide so I had to quick make some invites. These aren't my best but they have to go out today. I did some for both team so there are no real favorites but as usual we are a house divided rooting for 2 different teams.

shopping day

Okay, I hate Tuesday's I'm just putting it out there. I don't have a break from my students on Tuesday's (art, music, gym, or computers) so I have them all day. Than every Tuesday I have a meeting either before school at 7 or after school at 3:30 till usually 5o'clock. So it's a very long day. The only thing that makes it tolerable is at my local scrapbook store it's tecnique Tuesday and we make a card or item and I get to visit with my scrap friends. Well tonight I hit pay dirt. They had 60% off of there stamps I got 7 stamps for $22.00 3 are Whipper Snapper, 2 are A Muse, 1 Alma de la Rosa and 1 Cornish Heritage Farms. I'm ready now to start on Christmas for next year and the gift idea I have for my mom. She loves to send cards for all reasons so I want to make her some cards she can use every month to send out. Wish me luck on that project.

Well back to Valentine Day gifts I have 23 more to make.

valentine's gifts for students

Have been a busy crafter today. Started working on gifts for my students for Valentine's day. They are little sour cream containers that stamped using Hero Arts stamps on velum.

Than I used my Martha Stewart heart punch (which is hard to punch)to make the heart that is hanging from the container. I filled them with M&M's.
I really hope the students like their treats. I have 6 done and 22 students. I'll keep at. Have to think of something for the staff I work with now too.

Busy Weekend

This has been a busy weekend. First Saturday I tutored at school. I pictured my check going straigt to my Local Scrapbook Store. Than worked on my husband's project for school. He designed it I just cute it because there was no way he was touching my cricut. I think it turned out well. He's in Grad school taking a class on Childrens literature. He had to read the book "The House on Mango Street" than had to write 3 short stories about himself. The book cover has a picture to show from each of the story. He wrote about his Little Brother, working at an Ice Cream store and a time with his Uncle. I think we matched pretty good. I even got to use my bind it all for the first time.

Than the teacher that teachs next to me has her 40th birthday on Monday and I wanted to make her a card. I had bought some stamps from Inky Antics this week and scrap lifted a card they had on display at my Local Scrapbooking store. I changed the colors but it's pretty much the same card. It was so much fun getting creative this weekend and I really hope I can contine to making cards. Actually I know I will have v-day gifts I need to make for my students and of course my husband's card.

Bad Day!!!

Oh, my I just need somewhere to vent. The class I have this year is as we say off the chain. They don't want to listen, everytime you try to punish them they say" I don't care" and they really dont care. I'm at my wits end. I get no support from the principal, no support at home, and no support from fellow teachers. It's enough to make me curl up in a little ball and sleep forever. I'm so tired of trying to do fun things/plan fun things and then they ruinining it. I was sick today and didn't feel good but had to go to school. Planned a movie this afternoon and we couldn't even do that because we couldn't get quiet to even start. My chest hurts so bad it's not even funny my inhailer isn't doing it's job. Thanks for listening to my vent. Now I get to go to a staff meeting and listen to the group of teachers I work with get chewed out.

new year begins

Okay, it's january 2nd and i'm still in bed. I've been sick and not feeling well at least it gives me a chance to catch up on my dvr viewing and make plans for new cards and scrapbooking pages. My resolution for this year is to make more cards. It's a stress reliever for me and lets me unwind after a busy day at school. So hopefully there will be more cards to view this year on my blog. I'm going to get back to basics and do what I love to make what i do easier.
